The Okinawa Shorin-Ryu Karate-Kenpo system is adaptable to anyone. You will learn many martial arts techniques. This is necessary to equip the mind and body with techniques for self-preservation. The emphasis is not on memorization, it is based on the natural spontaneous reaction of redirecting motion or energy. Grand Master Otto also teaches techniques from different systems making the martial arts adapt to the capability and strength of the individual whether the student is a man, woman or child. You will see techniques from Aikido, Judo, Chinese Kenpo, Wing Chung, Jeet Kune Do, Kung fu, Jujitsu, Muy Tai, and others. It is not important from which system of martial arts the techniques come from; only that it is adaptable and effective for self-defense and ultimately self-preservation.

The Shen Dragon has a very specific curriculum for each belt level. Each student will receive the belt level program to guide their development and prepare them for their rank testing.
